Bristol Shire Mucker Wheelbarrow

This was the only wheelbarrow I could find that was narrow enough to go down the side of my house. It is lightweight but sturdy and was quite easy to put together.

Beautiful burgundy barrow. I’m in love!

    Jan Welford

This is a beautiful barrow. I don’t have any horses - it is for my garden and is a pleasure to use. The plastic is much easier to use than metal. Soil and compost and plants and tools slide across the surface and it is lightweight but sturdy. It was easy enough to assemble on my own. Just be careful not to tighten any of the bolts until you have them all in - just a couple of twists to start with. The helpful instructions tell you this. They also tell you to use a T40 screwdriver head for two of the bolts. I didn’t have one but an Alan/Allen? key worked fine. The most difficult part of the assembly was aligning the bottom of the bucket with the frame which required a bit of muscle and I managed this on my own even though I’m a woman. I did it on the living room carpet pushed up against the settee to get a bit of leverage and not scratch to black paint. This company is a delight to deal with - their website is wonderful and the barrow arrived very very quickly in a lovely box. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it all over again but this little beauty will serve me well for a long time to come.

Delivered quickly, a nice solid, lightweight ladies wheelbarrow and a plus it was manufactured in the UK.

    Shire HD barrow

    Andrew Tarpey

A good barrow, not intended for heavy duty but just moving soil and plants round the garden (plus I wanted a rust proof bucket).

Very prompt delivery and assembly was easyish. I'm an engineer and love assembling stuff, but Average Joe might find it too fiddly – and to have two of the bolts as torx heads is just daft. So that's the reason for losing a star.

Not used the finished barrow in anger yet, but am very pleased so far.

A little bit flimsy but great colour and good value.

    cynthia noakes

It did take a while to put together as some fittings were a bit tight.

    Bristol Shire wheelborrow

Well built and easy to assemble except that on the Assembly Instructions it listed 2 M8 x 20 bolts and nuts but overleaf under step 8 it mentioned M8 x 16 bolts. These were supplied and they were too short to easily fit. Better to supply M8 x 20 bolts and correct
    the instructions.

Lovely wheelbarrow - sturdy, attractive and light to manoeuvre even when fully loaded with mulch. or overflowing watering cans. Fast, efficient delivery was added bonus. Definitely recommend.

    Bristol Shire Burgundy Mucker Wheelbarrow

Easy to assemble, good to be able to choose type of wheel, we needed solid. Good colour, different! Light and easy to use, won't rust in sea air, important.
